Distiller Max Pfeffer

Max Pfeffer has been the distiller at Pottstown’s Manatawny Still Works since it started in 2013. Previously he had worked as a brewer at Sly Fox Brewing and Victory Brewing. He has a Chemical Engineering degree from Penn State. Since becoming a distiller, he has developed his skills, distilling gin, rum, whiskey and even brandy. His whiskey is his baby, and his unique Four Grain American Whiskies have been repeatedly recognized as best of category in national competitions.
